The Open on the move

The R&A has recently launched a number of products, designed to allow you to enjoy the 150th Anniversary Open Championship on the move.

The Open Championship 2010 iPhone App

iPhone AppThe Official Open Championship iPhone App has been developed and redesigned for 2010 to bring you even closer to the action at St Andrews, where The Open Championship will celebrate its 150th anniversary.

Live video on demand, live leaderboard, course guide, player profiles, weather updates and stats will be accompanied by ‘LiveCast’, a live video stream from holes 9, 10 and 11 during play. If ‘LiveCast’ is not available in your region, you can listen to Radio Opengolf. Broadcast live from the Old Course at St Andrews and included in the application, ‘LiveCast’ and Radio Opengolf offer the best way to enjoy golf’s oldest Major, as it happens, on the move.

If you don’t have an iPhone, you can still access enjoy coverage of the Championship on the move with our mobile site, mobile.opengolf.com. The mobile site offers a live leaderboard and all the latest news, so you don’t miss a moment of the action as golf’s oldest Major celebrates its 150th birthday.

R&A Rules of Golf App

Golf enthusiasts with an iPad or iPhone should download The R&A’s Official Rules App, which offers you the complete package, covering every issue that can arise in a round of golf. From on-course behaviour, through a summary of the fundamental Rules, to the complete Rules of Golf (2008 — 2011), you’ll soon find the answer you’re looking for.
